Replacing Ductwork: A Guide to Minimizing Wall Damage

As an HVAC expert, I am often asked if it's possible to replace ductwork without damaging walls. The answer is yes, it is possible. Unless your house has a flat roof, which can make accessing the ductwork difficult, we can usually install new ductwork without breaking walls or ceilings. When it comes to replacing ductwork, the key is to utilize existing infrastructure. This means that we will install the new ducts in the same location as the old ones.

Not only does this save time and money, but it also minimizes any potential damage to your walls or ceilings. However, it's important to note that there is no way to replace ducts without having to open the walls. This is because the ducts are typically hidden behind walls and ceilings, making it impossible to access them without some form of demolition.
